1. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: your email address and encrypted password, provided when you sign up.
• Compensation plan data: your OTE, base salary, quota, commission structure, and payment lag settings that you enter manually.
• Paystub data: gross pay amounts and pay dates extracted from documents you upload for the audit feature. We do not store the raw document files — only the extracted numeric values.
• Sales activity data: SQO counts and deal information you log manually within the app.
• Usage data: standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Paylit service:

• To calculate and display your expected commission and compare it to what you received.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To respond to support requests you initiate.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the service.

We do not use your data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or benchmark you against other users. We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Supabase enforces encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies — only your authenticated session can read or modify your records.

We use Anthropic's Claude API to process paystub documents during extraction. Document content is transmitted to Anthropic's API solely for this purpose and is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not store the raw document content after extraction is complete.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, your data is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted from our systems, unless we are legally required to retain it longer.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data at any time.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format.

6. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
